2025 UNESCO Oration

Professor Fethi Mansouri was thrilled to host the ninth UNESCO Oration on 29 September, with Daniela Gavshon, Australian Director at human Rights Watch.

Gavshon spoke to a capacity audience on the timely topic of ‘Making the Most of Middle Power Status: Australia, Human Rights and a Changing World.’

Founded in 2013 when Fethi started his role as Chairholder, the UNESCO Chair Oration is a significant annual public lecture delivered by a pre-eminent leader, advocate and/or thinker in matters related to social justice, cultural diversity and human rights.
